About Kristina Dourif Tanoue

About Kristina:

Kristina was born into an entertainment based family with her Father as one of Hollywood most respected and award winning character actors and her Mother, an entrepreneur in various diverse fields but who currently runs a cutting edge company specializing in the psi sciences called PSI TECH Inc.

Kristina was born as an American citizen abroad in Caracas, Venezuela and then moved to Woodstock, New York where she lived on a small farm with goats and horses in the woods. Kristina is no stranger to the world of drama as she grew up surrounded by eccentric personalities. Albert Grossman was her neighbor in Woodstock, (who she fondly referred to as Santa Claus). Amongst others were, John Sebastian, Todd Rundgren, Meat Loaf and all the members of The Band, plus a colorful array of well known writers, actors, artists and directors.

Kristina's family moved to Beverly Hills California in the mid 80's where she lived until she graduated from Beverly Hills High school when she was 17. Kristina began working early in the entertainment industry starting as a production assistant on one of her fathers movies at the young age of 13. She kept up with the adults working 16 to 18 hour days and did so well they gave her a credit on the movie (a Canadian production called "Chain dance aka Common bonds"). The following summer Kristina interned at the famed Roger Corman's Concorde Studios where she learned the ropes of almost every department of film making behind the scenes. Kristina has always been a talented artist with an eye for continuity, design and humor. She was always being asked to draw cartoons and caricatures for people. After high school she attended Cinema Art College, a trade school in Los Angeles where she specialized in movie make-up & theatrical prosthetics.

Kristina's uncle, a Hawaiian airbrush artist, taught her the art of airbrush design and Kristina moved to the island of Maui in Hawaii and operated a temporary tattoo stand in Lahaina until she went down he street and got hired to work as a manager at the elegant Ulalena theater.

Kristina married a talented Hawaiian musician and artist named, Jason Kalani Tanoue whose family are natives of the island of Maui. In the year 2001 they gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Caden Kalani Kahalewai Dourif-Tanoue

Kristina and Jason relocated from Maui to live in Las Vegas and now Kristina is back to working in Entertainment management at The Scinta's music and Comedy Act.

Jason is currently working in airbrush design specializing in auto design but we all want him to start singing Hawaiian songs again!
